The Rotary Club of Truckee was chartered on February 14, 1978. Our club has approximately 100 active members who share a compelling sense of service and camaraderie. Each club member volunteers personal time and services to helping improve our community and works hard to raise funds through a variety of efforts including the Annual Cadillac Ball and Chris Matthew Crab Feed, that the club contributes to local, national, and international projects.

We get our hands dirty cutting wood for seniors, blazing trails - now paved along the Truckee River, planting Sugar Pines or a community garden on Rotary at Work Day.

Our club is part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million professional and community leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in business, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.

Local projects and programs supported by Rotary Club of Truckee: Our Truckee River Legacy Trail, Sierra Senior Services Meals-on-Wheels, Rotary Reads, Senior Woodcutting, Truckee Bike Track, Girls on the Run, Truckee Little League, Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe, Arts for Schools, Tahoe School of Music, Truckee High Boosters (Sports/Drama) and the list goes on.

Internationally the Rotary Club of Truckee supports, Wheel Chair International, End Polio Now and a project in collaboration with the Los Barilles, Mexico Club supporting construction projects at area schools as well as clean water filtration distribution.
